Wednesday!
Gratuitous Horse Racing Tweet of Your Day:
This T-shirt looks like a good one to get and wear, especially if you love those New York-breds. In the battle of upcoming racetrack giveaways, this one seems to win comfortably over the non-porkpie hat being handed to fans at Porkopolis tomorrow. But, if you don’t mind traveling, and you like getting complimentary stuff from small-time racetracks, then you can get the hat in Ohio this week, and then the shirt in New York next week. Such a deal!
BestLine Racing Society Recap:

As for today (Wednesday), some of the races went like this…
Starting as we sometimes do from The Buckeye State of Ohio, specifically the Queen Ziti Zinzinnati Porkopolis, for Race 5, which was won by the aptly named #6 Breakthrough (.315 / 2.17 / 2.81) at $9.60. In Race 7, #2 Navy Cross (.252 / 2.97 / 4.56) won it for military decorations everywhere at $20.20.

In Race 9, the last one on this card, #8 Fancy (.129 / 6.75 / 9.85) was not fancied by much of the public, but that did not matter, since she won anyway at $26.62; completing your winning $473.42 exacta was #10 Cozee Rags (.122 / 7.20 / 10.48), with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $226.15.

Next race there, #5 Solo Tonight (.249 / 3.13 / 3.96) was alone in the winner’s circle at $10.20; your winning $68-even daily double had a premium price of $48.40. In Race 8, the finale, #8 Conformist (.519 / 0.93 / 1.31) fit the winning mold at $5.50.
Race 2 from Bossier City, La., featured #8 Doss (.218 / 3.59 / 4.50) and #6 Prince Perfecta (.277 / 2.61 / 3.33) combining on your winning $45.80 exacta whose premium price was $38.97. #2 Daneland (.206 / 3.85 / 5.80) won New Cumberland, W.Va., Race 4 for Halfdan Rangarsson & Ivar the Boneless at $22-even.
In Erie, Penna.’s Race 4, #1 Seiver (.237 / 3.22 / 4.06) won it for tournament-poker giants the world over at $16-even.
Ending whence we came, Ohio, though up north to No. Randall for, fittingly, the finale there, which on this day was Race 8 numerically; in it, #5 D J’s First Step (.268 / 2.73 / 3.48) also made sure his last step was a winning one, returning $10.80 up top; completing your winning $58.60 exacta was #7 Momma K’s Boy (.186 / 4.38 / 6.53), with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $52.40.
BestLine Racing Society Nightcap:
Canada, vast parts of it, anyway, or maybe even the entire nation as a psychic entity, is currently in mourning, and trying to heal right now, so we have no option but to remain with our Canuck brethren and try to get them through this via this evening’s activity at Assiniboia…
