No more Bay Area Thoroughbreds; no more Tanforan, no more Bay Meadows, no more Golden Gate. As well, there used to be three other tracks in New Jersey that had major meets. Two have bitten the dust in So. Fla. Boston / New England gone, too. Everything in Michigan, bye-bye. Chicagoland barely there anymore. Maverick state racing commissions in Tejas & Louisiana threaten to push those places into shunned obscurity. Miss ’em. Miss ’em all.
