Too rational for some…

Good programme here. We might not have any success in persuading, dissuading, debunking or deprogramming THOSE WHO DO THEIR OWN RESEARCH, but we can at least try to understand their motivations, so-called…good programme!

Good to know!

These big-city blues
Are melting away
I’m gonna make a brand-new start of it
In ol’ Upstate New York!

Vale!

Probably good for him to get out before the whole concept of Santa Anita gets sold to redeveloper entering the highest bid. No, he was not too telegenic, even in the days when the medium of video did not require telegenic style for miles and miles the way it does now; indeed, we remember some wag characterizing him as ‘The Human Sominex’. Nevertheless, to do something for a jillion years, to do it without fail pretty much every day, to do it competently and to do it without drawing undue attention to yourself, well, hey, that is something we just do not encounter all that much in our current era of slackerdom, goldbricking, Quiet Quitting & general malingering. So, that greatly outweighs the tepid personalities, and anyway, it’s the principles that race to the top, always, while the personalities settle for the race to the bottom. Principles before personalities, like they say! In which case, good job, Jon White. Best wishes.
