Kevork K. Kanine gifted us a nice speed-oriented bicycle last Father’s Day, a 20-speed shifter with the skinnie tyres, the kind with the newfangled Presta valve. It’s a smooth ride, surely smoother than the decades-old cruiser-beater with the pedal brake we used to have to labor on. Now that swimming season is well & truly over, maybe cycling will be the cold-month cross-training replacement. It felt pretty good today!
BestLine Racing Society Recap:
One post-press-time score from Thursday’s late action: At Grantville, Penna., #2 In Good Trouble (.484 Win Prob / 1.07-1 Fair Odds / 1.89-1 Premium Odds) proved a winning overlay in a three-horse Race 6 at $6.20.
Today, Friday, it was Aqueduct, Delta, PennNat & Tampa.
From Vinton, La., #9 Zultan (.171 Win Prob / 4.85-1 Fair Odds / 6.02-1 Premium Odds) won Race 2 for the Sultan of Oman at $27-even; completing your winning $87.60 exacta was #5 Itwasthisbig (.197 / 4.08 / 5.09), with the premium price on that comboa (comboa!) being $73.32.
In Race 6 from Oldsmar, Fla., #7 Conspiracy Fact (.166 / 5.02 / 7.43) won it for A-through-P-Anon and then R-through-Z-anon at $16.80; yes, this was 6¢ shy of the premium price, but we cannot blame you if you sacrificed those half-dozen pennies to the God of Doing Business via The Parimutuels — after all, it was the same 7-1 on the toteboard. We report, you decide!
