From Albany, Calif., Race 6 went to #4 Haywood (.335 Win Prob / 1.99-1 Fair Odds / 2.58-1 Premium Odds) at $8-even; for the record, two first-timers were in this one.
At New Cumberland, W.Va., #1 Sassy Justice (.276 / 2.62 / 3.35) was served a victory in Race 4 at $10.20.
Finally to Altoona, Iowa, where #6 Ocean Ride (.276 / 2.62 / 3.35) docked in the winner’s circle in Race 6 at $9.40. Then in the finale there, Race 11, #1 Eliot Ness (.334 / 1.99 / 2.59) was — what else? — untouchable at $11.40.
