The cul-de-sac that’s home to the Home Office up here in Upper Nichols Canyon has seen some illustrious residents through the years. These are guys you have seen on television many, many times. Some of the shows they have been on include ‘The Electric Company’, the original 1950s ‘Mickey Mouse Club’ & ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. But in the last couple of months, our newest neighbor moved-in, and he’s the guy here in the video lede singing the famous song, apt for today.
Mr. Monty, as we have come to call him, is a right lovely chappie, exceedingly cordial, always cheery and still pretty spry, if prone to uttering the universal F-word even in mixed company. We talk about English futbol, classic sketches from his comedy career and, of course, dogs. That is, after all, how you meet all your best neighbors — while walking your respective dogs. Like us, Mr. Monty spent his formative years in residential secondary school, though safe to say he had the better outcome. He’s on the right side of the social arguments, backing up the famous Gary Lineker and that man’s campaign for human rights, and he generally sides with the same outlook as another famous good sport, Mistah John Cleese.
However, Mr. Monty has already tipped The Arsenal to win the Premiership, and we hope his powers of prognostication are as sharp as his wit.
