Better times for Mad Max Scherzer.

Race 3 at Aqueduct went to #3 O’Trouble (.255 Win Prob / 2.92-1 Fair Odds / 3.71-1 Premium Odds) at a valuable $10.60. 

Then in the sixth, #3 American Apple (.127 / 6.87 / 10.02) polished off the upset at $97-even. 

Keeneland 4 had #3 Hurricane J (.267 / 2.75 / 3.49) blowing into the winner’s circle at $10.28. 

#2 Flaming East (.221 / 3.52 / 4.43) paid $11.80 as an overlay winner of the third at Laurel.

The second at Santa Anita had #4 Apprehend (.201 / 3.98 / 5.97) prevail at a better-than-premium $19.80 up top. 

Next race there, #8 Izzy Em (.125 / 7.00 / 10.20) scoring at $37.80. The daily double on Races 2 & 3 paid $348.20; its premium price was $156.12. As well, the exacta with runner-up #11 Phenom (.175 / 4.71 / 5.86) had a premium price of $139.94; it paid $172.60 in real life.

In Race 5, the exacta combining #3 Going to Vegas (.318 / 2.14 / 2.77) and runner-up #7 Family Way (.407 / 1.46 / 1.95) paid $22.60; even $16.34 would have been more than generous.
