Another amphitheater evening, and last night’s headliner was the singular Miss Diana Ross…ROSS!
No more high notes for her, but the entertainment remained compelling. She had a few diva moments, notably with regards to a balky body-pack mic, plus there was the compulsory shoutout to Mistah Berry Gordy, of course. The Boomers were groovin’ to the oldies-but-goodies!

The fifth at Gulf was a good one. #2 Fulton Street (.198 Win Prob / 4.05-1 Fair Odds / 5.06-1 Premium Odds) won at $89.60 — not a typo. The exacta with #9 Kuhl Star (.173 / 4.78 / 7.09) paid $240.80 from a premium price of $81.87.
Race 9 there had #8 Sea Art (.148 / 5.76 / 8.46) coming through at a valuable $31.20. The daily double with even-money Race 8 winner #6 Mamba On Three (.341 / 1.93 / 2.52) paid $101.80 from a calculated premium price of $66.59.
Saratoga Race 12 was a win for #2 Feathers Road (.283 / 2.53 / 3.24) at $9.40.
At Woodbine, Race 2 went to #7 MIA’s Authority (.394 / 1.54 / 2.05) at $6.10 — right at the cutoff!
Race 9 there had #5 Emmeline (.378 / 1.65 / 2.17) winning as an $8.30 overlay.
