Nat’l Fried Chicken Day today, and we can’t shill for just any old crispy-poultry resto! No, ma’am. When it comes to the best, we dig back to our days in New Orleans and remember fondly the zillions of times we relied on POPEYE’S FAMOUS FRIED CHICKEN & BISCUITS for nourishment (hmmm…), to sober-up (yes, much more likely) and overall enlivening of the tastebuds (no doubt!).
We enjoyed the announcer intoning the city’s name and the true local side dish of ‘red beans & rice’.
