Had to take a few Mental Health Days away. Between rain, heat, late-scratches, off-the-turf races at the last minute, Congressional Committee Hearings, step-grandson having the week off from school / camp, it was zombifying a little. Then you can get back into life from the smallest thing, in this instance biting one of the season’s first ripe, juicy peaches straight over the sink, taking in all the sensory input, all of it pleasurable, for a change.
