Scrub on over to the 53:35 mark for the money shot. Here’s hoping the Boogaloo Boys don’t hold it against Mr. Fiedler for having a religious background other than Xian.
Have to admit, hearing the announcer’s voice in this clip brought back memories. Every week on PBS, same guy announcing. Also, we spent the Fourth of July in 1984 in Boston. There was a matinee between the Red Sox and the Athletics. Tony Armas hit a Mach 5 homerun. Jim Rice hit a walk-off salami in extras. Before that, perhaps the most exciting action: during the pregame warmup, Rickey Henderson threw a bag of Red Man into the stands down the left field line. It was not an act of retaliation or violence; the bag was sealed and intended for a specific fan who had been ribbing Henderson good-naturedly. Then in the evening it was over to the Esplanade on the Chas. River to take-in the concert with all the other sweaty citizens. That was a good day. Why we are even mentioning this on July 3, 2020, it’s probably down to the Federal Holiday today. Cazart!
