English fútbol week on the blog ends now with the No. London Arse, who for a change had the most straightforward outcome in Europe this time. Everyone’s favourite striker — who else? — Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a hat-trick in the Gunners’ 4-2 away win (7-3 on aggregate) over Valencia last night. Thanks, Obama! Thanks, Aubameyang!

It’s all England in Europe this season: Champions League final is Liverpuddle v. Spuds; Europa League final is Arse v. Chelski. As Sir Alex Ferguson used to put it, ‘Fitba! Bloody hell!’

Yesterday:

PennNat 6
#2 Elan ($24.60, BestLine Fair Odds 6.63-1)

Pimlico 8
#3 Warrioroftheroses ($38.20, BestLine Fair Odds 3.55-1)

Belterra 6 (Low-Priced Overlay of the Day)
#3 Stormy Memo ($11.80, BestLine Fair Odds 1.36-1)

It was horrific at Chas. Town last night. There was promise and potential, and it came to nothing but mirages and bamboozlement! Five races, at least 20 horrific win-overlay wagers. Horrific. Bitchery and abomination! Abomination and bitchery! Thanks, Wm. Faulkner!
