May now…already! So here’s The Darling Buds…
Remember: The Darling Buds of May is from, again, Billies Shakes. He wrote a sonnet, the famous one about comparing a loved one to a summer’s day, but the loved one being more lovely and temperate, you know the one.
Over here in La-La Land, it’s more like the Darling Buds of March. Everything, but not the jacaranda, has been in bloom for weeks now, and jasmine and honeysuckle (!) have perfumed the heavy evening air since mid-April. Lovely. And, of course, we’ll let you know when the jacaranda comes on-line.
