Today:

Golden Gate today, the last bastion of late-winter Thoroughbred racing in California. Races 1, 4, 7, 9. Meanwhile, they need a caricature character up there to gin-up the proceedings, make pronouncements in the paddock and walking ring, etc. Something like ‘Railside Wrigley’, to get the people excited, get the youth and the hipsters and the horse-huggers and the other large voices in the sport all riled up so they can say stuff across various platforms very excitedly, sometimes ironically. Do it, Golden Gate. This is an opening for you, Golden Gate. ‘Railside Wrigley’, or something like that. Gin-up the proceedings. Thank you.
