Hey! How ya’ doin’ over there? Well, that’s good! Ready for the big Super Blood Wolf Moon tonight? Awoooooooooo! Awoooooooooo!

It’s been said that the REAL NATIVE ’MURRIKANS called it the wolf moon because it was the middle of winter and the wolves were out-of-luck in terms of finding prey etc. So these luckless wolves would howl plaintively ‘Awoooooooo! Awoooooooo!’ during the full moon in January or thereabouts. The REAL NATIVE ’MURRIKANS.

Yesterday:

Gulf 4
#5 Quijote ($48.60, BestLine Fair Odds 4.92-1)

Keystone/Phila. Park/ParXXX 8
#11 Forewarned ($25, BestLine Fair Odds 5.76-1)

Santa Anita 8
#8 Lil Milo ($21.20, BestLine Fair Odds 7.26-1)

Sunland 7
#3 Sponsor ($21.60, BestLine Fair Odds 4.92-1)

Turfway 1
#4 Gritter Man ($110.40, BestLine Fair Odds 3.50-1)

Turf Paradise 6
#3 Darrenator ($36.20, BestLine Fair Odds 2.47-1)

Santa Anita 6 (Low-Priced Overlay of the Day)
#2 Mo Soul ($7, BestLine Fair Odds 1.46-1)

Yesterday’s post focused on six contentious races from Turfway. Race 2, one overlay (sixth at 20-1); Race 4, one overlay (last at 17-1); Race 5, one overlay (eighth at 8-1); Race 7, two overlays (including fourth at 9-1); Race 8, no overlays. But before all that, there was Race 1, one overlay, 54.20-1, and he won by a clean head at $110.40 up top. So there was that.

Today:

The last two at Turf Paradise today are the best presentations of contentiousness. Awooooooooo! Awooooooooo!
