Given the day of the week now, you know we’re gonna have to make it a TRUE DAILY DOUBLE for The Cure.

Yea, verily, they are famous for their dark moodiness mostly, but like their great contemporaries, Echo & The Bunnymen, The Cure had moments of levity and, maybe, even mania. This dittie always puts us in a good frame of mind. As well, yesterday’s song, “Harold & Joe”, is a good antidote to the knee-jerk outrage and the instant need to scream nowadays; indeed, “Harold & Joe” is about not calling too much attention to yourself — it’s about action, without the whole world needing to know how great you and your actions are. Harold & Joe…go, go, go… Listen again and look at the lyrics. Yeah!

Chas. Town 4
#2 Our Little Julio ($43.60, BestLine Fair Odds 4.85-1)

Gulf 9
#7 Speed Star ($21.60, BestLine Fair Odds 5.85-1)

Turfway 5
#7 In a Flury ($20.60, BestLine Fair Odds 2.82-1)

Los Alamitos Thoroughbreds 3
#3 Rolling Shadow ($8.40, BestLine Fair Odds 2.37-1)

Good right from the off at Los Alamitos Thoroughbreds, with Race 1  having the best distribution of probabilities on the card; there’s a 38.9pc chance of winning attached to BestLine’s top choice in the fifth. Best wishes.
