Anyway, we remind you that real authority, real O.G. Original Gangster Authority, is neither loud nor gesticulating; it uses the nouns & verbs, and the adverbs and adjectives are hard to find. Moreover, the hand-waving, literal hand-waving and figurative hand-waving, disappears. You think Don Vito Corleone would abuse adjectives and adverbs and hand-gestures? Never! As well, there was that scene in the Godfather films where the Meyer Lansky-based character is just sitting there in front of his TV, eating off a tray the tuna-fish sandwich his wife made him. That’s O.G. When you try too hard, The Universe finds a way to catch up with that!
Also, in contrast, we have no option but to applaud the way the incomparable Chas. P. Pierce describes the demeanor of Special Prosecutor Rob’t. S. Mueller: ‘But Robert Mueller, with no expression on his face, reaches across his desk for another file…’
