So here we are again. Palm Sunday 2018 now, which marks the start of Holy Week. As always on every Palm Sunday, we are pleased to reacquaint you with The Greatest Album Ever Made. The lead track here, ‘Silver’, is a Palm Sunday-type, manic-triumphant song. But have a listen and decide for yourself.

An even more manic version of ‘Silver’:

Guitarist Will Sergeant was right. When the band decided they wanted to employ real orchestral strings for the album, they didn’t want them to sound like Mantovani — and they don’t! The violin and cello here are urgent and percussive, similar to the way the Velvet Underground might have employed them. The first 1:53 of this should be an album on its own, on a continuous loop for 42 mins.
