Yesterday’s Activity: A couple of good ones yesterday. Now, if you’ve been poking your nose around this here Web log for the last week or so, you know we are hyped about just-started tracks. The best example currently is the great Remington Park in Oklahoma City in the Sooner State of — yup, you guessed it! — Oklahoma. Well done.

Last night at the Remington, Race 6, the race was classically contentious, but only High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads had a read on 20-1 morning-line shot Lady, not the same thing as the song by Kenny Rogers. Lady was a respectable 84 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis in a wild 10-horse field, and she stalked the pace throughout before prevailing in the straight by three parts of a length at $32.60. Good work, Remington. Keep it up.

Honourable mention in Del Mar 6 to Pulpit Rider, scouted and touted, outed and abouted to the email groupies (you know who you are!). Pulpit Rider was tops on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis and won by 8½ (!) at $28.40.

But back to the just-opened-tracks theme. Remington still in the early stages. Get some of it today and all weekend. Same goes for Northern Cal. stalwarts Ferndale (!) and Golden Gate Fair. Plus the emergence now of Retama in the City of San Antonio in the Lone Star State of Tejas will give us all some more new-meet ammunition at the mutuels. Take aim. Shoot for the big targets. Take some down. Thank you.
