Today’s Stakes Pageantry: One today at Delpark, no advisories. Take a shot at something else. As Wayne Gretzky used to say, you miss 100pc of the shots you don’t take. Keep shooting.

Yesterday’s Activity:

Track (Win Mutuels $20+/Gettable)

Assiniboia (0/0) — First Winnipeg ER shutdown to come this October.

Belmont (2/1) — Race 8 was not contentious, but High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads had a competitive 84 on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis on Fear, who showed courage to stay strong in the straight to win by 3 parts of a length at $30.40. Good work.

Delpark (2/1) — Race 4 was not contentious, but High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads associated justice with Thurgood, an acceptable 81 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis; he went gate-to-wire to win by a clean head at $101-even — sorry, Don Trump Sr. fans and other assorted admirers of common grifters and bullies, not a typo! Regrets! Good work.

Evangeline (0/0) — Point Blue Water System issues boil-water advisory.

Finger (1/1) — Race 4 was contentious amongst the experienceds, and debut-issue David’s Elaine had a connection-line/slashline readout of 11pc/16pc/25pc; she raced hindquarters-to-wire to win by 4¼ at $50.50. Good work.

Indiana (1/½) — Old-School Champeens were on the tail of Hot Suspect, Fair Odds of 5-1 in a contentious Race 4; he went gate-to-wire to win by 3 parts of a length at $31.60. Good work.

Louisiana (1/0) — Benton Police handout free gun locks to residents.

Mountain (1/½) — Old-School Champeens struck again, this time with Secret Fascination, Fair Odds of 4½-1 in a contentious Race 3; she raced ribcage-to-wire to win by 1½ at $40.20. Good work.

Northlands (1/0) — Wicked witchcraft: Edmonton police warn about phony astrologers, psychic readers; no word concerning Alex Jones, however.

PennNat (0/0) — Host Fightin’ Phils pistol-whipped by Boston, 7-3; Aaron Altherr hit a 2-run HR for Philalala.

Presque (2/1½) — Players of all stripes had a date with debutante Good Sally, Fair Odds of 3-1 in a contentious Race 4, with a connection-line/slashline readout of 17pc/12pc/18pc; she was a stalking-horse throughout before winning by 2 at $20.80. Old-School Champeens pulled the trigger with Military Mary, Fair Odds of 3½-1 in a contentious Race 7; she hit the target in a gate-to-wire, neck-margin victory at $49-straight. Good work.

Prairie (1/0) — Man involved in nationwide church scams arrested in Ia.

Thistle (2/2) — Race 5 was contentious, but only High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads kept up with Dual Qualifier Bellamy Jones (89, 89); he raced tail-to-wire to win by 4½ at $25.60. In Race 8, also contentious, players of all stripes backed Deanira, Fair Odds of 3-1 and a Dual Qualifier (95, 93), to boot; she went gate-to-wire to win by 1¾ at $36.40. Good work.

Woodbine (2/0) — Host Blue Jays edge Tampa Bay, 7-6; Kendrys Morales went 2-for-4 with a 3-run HR and 4 RBI for Toronto.
