Arapahoe (1/0) — Visiting Rockies embarrass Cubs, 9-1; Mark Reynolds went 4-for-5 with a solo HR, his 17th HR of the season, and 2 RBI.

Assiniboia (1/1) — Race 5 was not contentious, but High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads had a bare-minimum 80 on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis on Zingara, who rallied like the champion he should have been, winning by 1½ at $25.50. Good work.

Belmont (2/2) — Race 10 was contentious, but only High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads hit the heights with Ascend, a Dual Qualifier (87, 80); he was a stalking-horse throughout before winning by 1¼ at $57-even. Race 12 was contentious, but again only High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads could make the trip to the island of Manitoulin, also a Dual Qualifier (94, 81); he made the good middle-move to win by 2½ at $34.20.
