Another day of sun. The Left Coast has got it on lock. Not surprised to see negative integers for the UV Index over by where you are.

Southern California, Land of Paradise. Low humidity, minimal mosquito population. You are welcome to join if you can stand multiculturalism plus diversity. Otherwise, how’s things going on over there in the Rust Belt & the Bible Belt? Well, that’s good.

Free ones: Today…

Gulfstream Park Proper 7, 8, 9, 10
Santa Anita 1, 6, 9

Pay-side (Weekday/Weekend): Today…

Fair Grounds 4, 7, 9
Golden Gate 4
Laurel 8
Tampa 8, 9
Turf Paradise 5, 6, 7, 8

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Probably OK for #8 Shane’s Girlfriend in Santa Anita 8.

Yesterday’s Activity:

Track (Win Mutuels $20+/Gettable)

Delta (2/0) — Broken insulator leaves 2,000 without power in Lake Chas.

Fair Grounds (1/0) — Pelicans lose at Boston, 117-108; Anthony Davis had 36 pts. for New Orleans.

Golden Gate (1/1) — Race 8 was contentious, but only High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads were infatuated with Claudia Mae, minimally qualifying 81 on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis; she raced tail-to-wire, however, to win by 2½ at $69.20. Good work.

Gulf (3/2) — Race 2 was contentious, but only High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads made it an appropriately Dual Qualifier Gran Weekend (91, 92); she raced ribcage-to-wire to win by 2½ at $27.80. Next race there was not contentious, but Dual Qualifier Wildcat Kate (99, 97) was ready for the High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads, and she also raced ribcage-to-wire to win by a clean neck at $27.40. The natural daily double paid $319.60 (for $2). Good work.

Los Alamitos (1/0) — Anaheim off-road Moto-X event imperiled by rain.

Laurel (2/½) — Old-School Champeens only in Race 8, with Slews Love at Fair Odds of 6-1 in a contentious lineup; he won by 2¾ at $22.40. Good work.

Mahoning (1/0) — Youngstown St. loses FCS title, 28-14, to Jm. Madison; the Penguins finished 12-4 for your season.

PennNat (1/0) — Host Flyers erupt for all their goals in the second period, double-up Tampa Bay, 4-2; Philalala defenseman Radko Gudas was the game&rsqou;s First Star.

Santa Anita (0/0) — Host Kings edge Columbus, 4-3, in OT; Tanner Pearson scored the gamewinner.

Sunland (0/0) — N.M. man dies in rollover crash near Dell City.

Tampa (1/0) — See PennNat commentary.

Turf Paradise (0/0) — Host Coyotes edge The Island in a shootout, 2-1; Brendan Perlini scored Arizona’s regulation-time goal.
