Chuck Barris also among the quick
Rip Taylor still is living and breathing. Who knew! Among his top work: The Gong Show, The $1.98 Beauty Show.
Free ones: Rundown…
Aqueduct 8
Santa Anita 4, 5, 6, 7
Pay-side (Weekend/Weekday): Today…
Fair Grounds 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11
Golden Gate 2, 3, 4, 7, 8
Hawthorne 1, 2, 6, 7, 8
Turfway 1, 3, 5, 6, 7
Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Aqueduct 8 on the free page. Bypassing the top two morning-line faves in Santa Anita 8, going instead with #6 La Force, #10 Miss Sugars. Conditions for Arcadia, Calif., this afternoon: the track is fast, the turf course is firm, the temperature is 75°F, the UV Index is 3 and spray-tans are frowned upon. Thank you.
Yesterday’s Activity:
Track (Win Mutuels $20+/Gettable)
Chas. Town (3/2) — Race 6 was contentious, but only High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads could take the spoonful of sugar offered by Mary Boppins, 82 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis; she was a stalking-horse throughout, winning by 3 parts of a length at $25.20. In Race 8, also contentious, again it was left for the High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads to take in Cat Come Home, a fine 90 on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis; he rallied like the champion he should have been, winning by a clean neck at $31.20. Good work.
Delta (1/0) — 3 accused of stealing purse (read: handbag) from Vinton home at gunpoint.
Gulf (2/0) — Host Panthers lose to Toronto in shootout, 3-2; Jonathan Marchessault and Vincent Trocheck were the Fla. goalscorers.
Mahoning (0/0) — Car flipped on its side in Boardman; its driver arrested for alcohol suspicion.
PennNat (1/0) — Visiting Flyers doubled-up in St. Louis, 6-3; Wayne Simmonds had a goal (his 17th on the season) and an assist for Philalala.
Sunland (1/0) — Wind rips roof off Vado home.
Tampa (3/0) — Host Lightning edge Montreal in OT, 4-3; Tyler Johnson’s 11th goal of the season was the gamewinner.
Turfway (0/0) — Fire damages Falmouth church.
Turf Paradise (1/0) — Visiting Suns ripped by San Antonio, 119-98; TJ Warren was Phoenix’s leading scorer, with 23 pts.

Nocturnal Submission: Sifting through the wreckage…
Thank you. Best wishes. Goodbye. Three days remain in 2016, so the year is not done with its wrath yet.
