Ladies & gentlemen, the incomparable Stevie Wonder…

Free ones: Rundown…

Gulfstream Park Proper 5, 6, 8, 9

Pay-side (Weekend/Weekday): Today…

Fair Grounds 2, 4
Hawthorne 4, 6
Laurel 4, 5, 7, 8, 9
Tampa 4, 5, 8
Turfway 1, 3, 5, 6, 7

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: None today, but it’s the holiday present every Big-League Hoopball fan in the Valley of The Sun could have hoped for: the 7-win Philalala 76ers invade Phoenix to take on the 8-win Suns; each team already has 21 losses. Hoo-boy. On the other hoof, the brick output from this scintillating contest will help BUILD THAT WALL. TEN FEET HIGHER. DRAIN THE SWAMP. CON MAN WINS. U-S-A! U-S-A! Then again, at least we are not in the Philippine Islands — for now, anyway.

Yesterday’s Activity:

Track (Win Mutuels $20+/Gettable)

Chas. Town (1/0) — Back Creek Valley church completes purchase of African misison land.

Delta (2/1) — Race 7 was contentious amongst the experienceds, and Hunter’s Humor was agreeable to all comers: Fair Odds of 5-1, 84 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis. He went gate-to-wire to win by 1½ at $27.80. Good work.

Fair Grounds (2/0) — Krystal closes 5 La. locations.

Gulf (2/0) — Host Panthers lose to Boston, 3-1; Jaro Jagr, still in the league, assisted on the Fla. goal and is now 2nd on the all-time points list.

Hawthorne (2/2) — The opener was not contentious, but High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads bought the ticket for Annie’s Showtime, 88 on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis; she was a stalking-horse throughout before winning by 6 at $28-even. In the next race, also not contentious and also available only to High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads, Captain’s Mast was deemed seaworthy with the field-best 89 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis; he was toward the front throughout, winning by 3 parts of a length at $44.20. The natural daily double paid $326 (for $2). Good work.

PennNat (2/0) — Bad night for the Big-League Ice-Hockey clubs from the Keystone State. Visiting Flyers blanked by Nueva Hersey, 4-nil, and visiting Peng-a-wins larruped by Cls., 7-1. Penna.’s lone goal was scored by Sidney Crosby, his 23rd on the season.

Turfway (0/0) — Mt. Zion Rd. expansion slated for Boone Co.
