This is like the 2016 presidential race, probably. You defuse the retrograde clown-candidate sensibly, and good-humoredly, with a standard nose-honk, and nearly everybody exhales and goes home happy. The ones who don’t will be tuning-in to a new TV channel in a few months from now. Alas for them, the new channel will not get 36M viewers — not in one night, at least. Oh, well. Also, Ralph Macchio > Chachi Mope. Erin Moran deserved better. Too bad.
