NLDS heroes

Man, oh, man. No matter which side you were rooting for, viewing those last 9 outs was a bit of exquisite torture.

NLDS = Nats Lose Dodgers Survive.

Free ones: Rundown…

Belmont 3, 4, 8, 9
Calder (a k a Gulfstream Park West) 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9
Santa Anita 2

Pay-side (Weekend/Weekday): Today…

Hawthorne 2, 5, 8
Keeneland 3, 5, 6, 9, 10
Laurel 2, 3, 4, 7, 8
Meadowlands 3, 6
Retama 3, 4, 5, 6
Remington 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9
Woodbine 7, 9

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Keeneland 9 on the pay-side. Probably OK for the obvious #1 Gold Shock in Remington 7.

Yesterday’s Activity:

Track (Win Mutuels $20+/Gettable)

Belmont (2/0) — Blueshirt Rangers beat visitor Islanders, 5-3; Chris Kreider had a goal and an assist in the victory.

Belterra (3/2) — Race 2 was not contentious, but High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads had a field-best 89 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis on Aziforcast, who went tail-to-wire to win by 3 at $23.60. In Race 8, also not contentious, Old-School Champeens had a chance anyway, thanks to Dual Qualifier Unbridled Glow (97, 82) also having Fair Odds of 2-1 as top mark on the Betting Line; he was a forward force throughout, winning by 2¾ at $26-even. Good work.

Calder (2/1) — The opener was not contentious, but Great Euphrates had a field-best 87 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis for the High-Octane Chancers and Progressive-Minded Eggheads; she went gate-to-wire to win by 5¼ at $33.20. Good work.

Chas. Town (0/0) — Proposed Martinsburg parking-fee increase cut in half.

Delpark (1/0) — Wilmington VA director reassigned.

Finger (1/1) — All types of players rewarded via Dr. J’s Buck in Race 7; he was the top-rated experienced runner in the field, Fair Odds of 3½-1 and a Dual Qualifier (90, 93), to boot. He went gate-to-wire to win by a clean half-length at $22-even. Good work.

Big Fresno Fair (0/0) — Police looking for suspect in robbery of Hobby Lobby in No. Fresno.

Hawthorne (0/0) — 2 women shot on South Side.

Keeneland (3/1) — Race 5 was contentious, and Dual Qualifier A Terrific Shot (97, 85) had no Fair Odds but went toward the front throughout, winning by 3 parts of a length at $25.60. Good work.

Meadowlands (1/1) — All kinds were rewarded in a contentious Race 3, with Buddy’s Tiz having Fair Odds of 6-1 and Dual Qualifier (92, 86), too; he made the lead in plenty of time, winning by a clean half-length at $28.60. Good work.

PennNat (2/0) — Penguins edge visitor Wash., D.C., 3-2, in a shootout; Pgh. goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury was the game’s No. 1 star.

Remington (0/0) — OU fan who stopped assault meets American Gridiron Throwball team.
