You know who has to use their hands a lot, gesticulating wildly, to get their point across when they speak? Insecure people.

The worst sort of B-movie actors or fired reality-TV mopes need to use their hands to get their point across. Can you imagine a true figure of legitimate authority — say, a Don Vito Corleone or his boy Michael, or Gen. Eisenhower or MacArthur or even Cmdr. Jm. T. Kirk — needing to frantically wave their hands in the air to convey their command? No, sir. Only fired reality-TV mopes need to do it. It’s the Costanzas and the Potsie Webers & Ralph Malphs of the world who have to resort to wild hand gestures. Crutch.

Yesterday’s Activity:

Track (Win Mutuels $20+/Gettable)

Albuquerque (1/1) — Race 6 was not contentious, but how could High-Octane Chancers look past the Dual Qualifier Thebigbomblooker (!) (93, 94)? He had to rally to win by 1¼ while paying $27.40 up top. Good work.

Delpark (1/0) — Planned Wilmington Stock Exchange becomes political axe.

Del Mar (1/1) — Publicly touted Gabo’s Macondo — wonderful name! — scored a competitive 87 on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis in a contentious finale; he rallied like the champion he’s on his way to becoming, winning by 2¼ at $46.20. Good work.

Evangeline (1/0) — Helicopter crash in Iberia Parish.

Finger (1/1) — Jolson was in with a fine 91 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis in a noncontentious Race 7; but High-Octane Chancers could not resist, and though he had to rally, he did manage to win by 1¼ at $25.20. Good work.

Indiana (2/0) — Police stop liquor-store robbery in action after clerk assaulted.

Louisiana (0/0) — Bossier City police search for runaway teen.

Mountain (1/1) — Race 7 was contentious, and Madelyn’s Mystique had a good-enough 82 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis; she raced forwardly before winning by 1 at $24.80. Good work.

PennNat (0/0) — Fightin’ Phils edge visiting San Francisco in 12 inns., 5-4; Philala’s Maikel Franco had a 3 RBIs, including the gamewinner.

Presque (2/1) — Race 4 was not contentious, but High-Octane Chancers had a squeaking-by 80 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis to consider on C the Judge; he had to rally but won anyway, by a clean neck, at $22.20. Good work.

Saratoga (0/0) — Heavy rain sends raw sewage flowing into area rivers.

Thistle (2/1) — The finale was not contentious, but High-Octane Chancers saw a sufficient 80 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis on Gotta Make Payroll; he went gate-to-wire to win by 1¾ at $22.80. Good work.
