Should be OK for the odds-on #7 Unified in Belmont 9. Ditto the slightly less obvious #9 Wake Forest in the 10th there.

Live third-choice on the morning line in Monmouth 10: #7 Delta Bluesman.

The singles keep on coming, now in Santa Anita 3: #2 Arcature.

Yesterday’s Activity:

Track (Win Mutuels $20+/Gettable)

Arlington (1/0) — Host Cubs improve to 26-8 (.764 beisbol) with 9-4 win over Pirates; Chicago starter Jason Hammel moved to 5-0 on the season.

Assiniboia (1/0) — Highway 59 closed at the north Perimeter Highway this weekend for demolition of the concrete loop there.

Belmont (1/0) — Jankees fall at home to White Sox, 7-1; New York starter Luis Severino dropped to 0-6 (7.46 ERA).

Churchill (1/1) — Race 1 winner Prado Dash would have been publicly touted, save for the sleepyheaded late-risers in the Back Room. Prado Dash was acceptable to all types of V6 players — Old-School Champeens, High-Octane Chancers, Progressive-Minded Eggheads — due to his status atop the conventional, contentious V6 Betting Line (Fair Odds of 3½-1) plus a fine 91 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis. Prado Dash pressed hard throughout en route to the 2¾-length win at $42.40. Good work.

Emerald (1/0) — Mariners surrender 9th-inning lead at home to Anaheim, lose 7-6; Seattle closer Steve Cishek blew the save and was tagged with the loss.

Evangeline (2/2) — High-Octane Chancers probably were in on debut issue Zendelphian, $32-even, in Race 3; the race did not seem contentious, but Zendelphian’s connection-line readout was a positive 14pc/17pc/31pc. Later, the more plausible overlay came via Production Manager in Race 7, $28.40; Production Manager had the good 89 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis in a contentious race. No, he did not come close to going coast-to-coast, but he ground out the win by a clean neck. What are you gonna do? Good work.

Golden Gate (1/0) — Visiting Giants beat Arizona, 3-1; starter Jeff Samardzija went 8 strong innings in bettering his record to 5-2 on the season.

Gulf (0/0) — Host Heat force a Game 7 in the Big-League Hoopball Eastern Conference Semis, defeating Toronto, 103-91; Miami’s Goran Dragic led all scorers with 30 pts.

Indiana (2/1) — Longest shot in the field in Race 6, Hurricane Pass, wins it for the High-Octane Chancers in a noncontentious race; ’Hurricane had the qualifying 83 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis and won by a clean neck at $31.60. Good work.

Los Alamitos (0/0) — See Emerald commentary.

Louisiana (1/0) — Water-main blowout prompts voluntary boil advisory in parts of Shreveport.

Lone Star (1/1) — Battlingsuzanna had a good-enough number (74, in a field devoid of any 80+-type numbers) on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis, and she pretty much went gate-to-wire in a contentious race to win by a clean neck at $30-straight. Good work.

Northlands (1/1) — Lip Singer (complete LifeLiner array: 72-73-89) rallied like the champion he could have been, winning a contentious Race 8 at $20.30. Good work.

PennNat (0/0) — Fightin’ Phils win at home over Cincinnati, 3-2; Jeanmar Gomez recorded his MLB-leading 14th save of the season.

Pimlico (0/0) — Host Orioles nip Detroit, 1-nil; Balto. starter Chris Tillman went 7 innings and moved his record to 5-1 on the season.

Prairie (2/1) — Not a contentious Race 2, so High-Octane Chancers were the eligible ones to take a stab on You Should Be Here, $24.40; that horse had a field-best 90 on the LifeLiner Spread Column, and he led by open lengths for much of the race, winning by 8¾. Good work.

Santa Anita (0/0) — Dodgers beat visiting St. Louis, 8-4; Yasiel Puig went 3-for-5 with a HR and 2 RBI in the win.

Thistle (3/1) — Venture Road took the opener by half a length at $34.80 up top. The race was not deemed contentious, but ’Venture had a satisfactory 85 on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis anyway. Good work.

Woodbine (1/0) — Visiting Blue Jays blank Texas, 5-nil; R.A. Dickey pitched 8 scoreless innings for the win.
