Today’s Stakes Pageantry: None today, but two teams in your Big-League Ice Hockey playoffs — Detroit, Chicago — are down to their final loss of the year, and they’re both on the road for their elimination games against Tampa and St. Louis, respectively. Hoo-boy.

Yesterday’s Activity:

Track (Win Mutuels $20+/Gettable)

Aqueduct (0/0) — Islanders lose at home to Florida, 2-1; series tied at 2-2.

Chas. Town (0/0) — New Bojangles restaurant in Cabell Co. creates a traffic nightmare.

Evangeline (0/0) — Two Krotz Springs store employees arrested for stealing lottery tickets.

Gulf (2/0) — See Aqueduct commentary.

Indiana (1/0) — Pacers resume playoff series with Raptors tonight in Indy; series tied at 1-1.

Keeneland (3/2) — Publicly touted Rod McLeod won Race 4 at $24.80; ’Rod had the Dual Qualifier status (86, 81) in a contentious race, and he went pretty much gate-to-wire to win by 1. In Race 5, publicly touted La Piba, 30-1 on your morning line, was another such Dual Qualifier (86, 86) in a contentious race, and she attended the pace throughout to win by three parts of a length at $32.40, with your natural daily double paying $761.60 for $2. Good work.

Mountain (2/1½) — The half a get came in Race 2 via Barbed Wire Tatt, an Old-School Champeen-type overlay based on a Fair Odds estimation of 4½-1 in a contentious race; ’Tatt had no LifeLiner backing, but she won anyway at $22.20. In Race 7, Wouldn’titbenice won it for Brian Wilson et al. at a pet-sounding $40.80 up top; ’nice was not in a contentious race but was a Dual Qualifier on LifeLiner (88, 91) nontheless. He won by a clean head. Good work.

Mahoning (0/0) — Cavs thump visiting Pistons, 107-90, to go up 2-0 in their Opening Round series; LeBron James led all scorers with 27 pts. for Cleveland.

PennNat (1/1) — Night of The Dual Qualifiers continues with Lil Miss Sassy here in Race 2; the race was contentious, and ’Sassy’s LifeLiner scores were 86 and 95. She went gate-to-wire to win by 2¼ at $21.60. Good work.

Tampa (3/½) — Race 6 had Cause for Victory winning it for the Old-School Champeens at $41.80. ’Victory had Fair Odds of 5-1 in a contentious race but no LifeLiner backing. Good work.
