Regicidal

This guy brought La-La Land Big-League Ice Hockey to its knees last night.

His wraparound 17 secs. into Period 3 was the killer.

Free ones: Rundown…

Aqueduct 4, 6, 9
Gulfstream Park Proper 6, 9
Los Alamitos Thoroughbreds

Pay-side (Weekend/Weekday): Today…

Golden Gate 4
Hawthorne 8
Keeneland 5, 6, 7, 8, 9
Laurel 5, 6, 7
Lone Star 1, 3, 5, 6, 9
Oaklawn 4, 5, 6, 8, 10
Tampa 6, 7, 8, 9

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Keeneland 9 on the pay-side.

In the search for an alternative to the chalk in Oaklawn 9, how about #5 Unbridled Forever?

Yesterday’s Activity:

Track (Win Mutuels $20+/Gettable)

Aqueduct (0/0) — The Island steals a playoff-opening road win against Florida; John Tavares had a goal and 2 assists in the win.

Chas. Town (0/0) — Cabell Co. Dispatchers report a fire destroyed a house in Huntington on Green Valley Road, which has been shut down as a result.

Evangeline (0/0) — Legal experts say Louisiana’s stand-your-ground defense law may apply to Will Smith shooting.

Golden Gate (0/0) — Sharks steal playoff-opening road win against La-La Land; Joe Pavelski had 2 goals for San Jose.

Gulf (2/1) — Big Blue Nation took Race 2 at $46-even. The race was contentious, and the only thing preventing a public touting was the low morning-line odds, 5-1; otherwise, ’Blue had the qualifying 82 on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis, and that was good enough for Progressive-Minded LifeLiner Eggheads. Good work.

Hawthorne (0/0) — Cubs move to 8-1 on the season with an 8-1 larruping of visiting Cincinnati; Jason Hammel pitched 6 shutout innings for his 1st win of the season.

Keeneland (1/0) — Kentucky State Police charge juvenile with murder of 17-year-old boy in shooting in Mercer Co.

Los Alamitos Thoroughbreds (2/2) — High-Octane Chancers were needed to snag both of these. In Race 3, Yodelsong had a good-enough 80 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis in a noncontentious race; Yodelsong rallied as befit her complete LifeLiner array (60-60-80) to win by 1½ at $35.60. In Race 4, Close to the Edge also prevailed in a noncontentious race, this one a victory on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis (81); ’Edge ran to that billing, just up by half a length at $21.80. Good work.

Oaklawn (2/1) — Publicly touted Special Jo won the sixth at $20.80; she was a Dual Qualifying special (85, 80). Good work.

PennNat (0/0) — Tale of two shutouts for Philalala sports fans. On the losing side, Flyers can’t beat Braden Holtby and The Rest of His Caps in Wash., D.C., losing 2-nil in their playoff opener; on the winning side, Phillies starting pitcher Vince Velasquez struck out 16 (!) in a complete-game, 3-nil blanking of the hapless Padres.

WMF Report:

Los Alamitos Nighttime 4½f

Nocturnal Submission: Sifting through the wreckage…

Thank you. Best wishes. Goodbye. So long now.
