Hey! How ya’ doin’ over there? Well, that’s good!

Golden Gate 6
Oaklawn 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: None today, but The Road To Hoopball Mediocrity runs through Houston this evening when your Rockets (37-38) look to get to the breakeven mark against a team that’s there for now, Chicago (37-37).

Yesterday’s Activity:

Track (Win Mutuels $20+/Gettable)

Chas. Town (1/1) — Not contentious, but Race 3 had the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis qualifier Christmas Barn (80) getting the gate-to-wire surprise by 1 length at the wire at $31.60. High-Octane Chancers were the most likely beneficiaries here.

Gulf (1/1) — Publicly touted Smart Romance took the fifth at an unimpeachable $23.40; ’Romance had the lone 80 on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis, and that was sufficient for a gate-to-wire win by a clean half-length in a contentious race. No High-Octane Chancers were necessary to bring this one home.

Mahoning (1/1) — Publicly touted Peteinthehall finally made it in, in Race 5, a contentious lineup. ’Pete had the top LifeLiner Speed Column analysis rating possible (99), and he rallied to that complete LifeLiner array (60-87-99), winning by a clean neck at $34.80.

PennNat (0/0) — Your Philalala Flyers score a dramatic 2-1 shootout win at home over the World’s Best Ice Hockey Team, your Wash., D.C., Caps; Sam Gagner scored the decider, and Philadelphia is 2 pts. up with a game in hand on Detroit in the race for the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Tampa (2/1) — Race 4 was wild-open, wild-open. Sultry Town Cat was not eligible to be touted (due to a low 6-1 morning line), but she was at no disadvantage on the LifeLiner Spread Column analysis. Sultry Town Cat won by 1¾ at $30.80. High-Octane Chancers would not have been alone in retrieving this winner.

Turf Paradise (2/0) — Suns lose on the road to Milwaukee, 105-94; P.J. Tucker led Phoenix with 20 pts.

The WRD (1/0) — Claremore residents are excited by the potential establishment of a ‘train quiet zone’ through town; officials say train noise will be decreased by 80 to 90 percent.
