post2k

Why…2K!

Well, friendsz of racing. Our long national nightmare continues: This marks our 2,000th post. Hoo-boy.

Two-thousand sounds like a lot, but when you hear about some of these forum boardsz where the most virulent denizensz have clicked on the ‘Submit’ button upwards of 50,000 or 60,000 times…well, hey.

It’s hard to imagine that somebody (more than a few, actually!) could have deemed something worth sharing nearly 75,000 times, but The Universe is funnie like that. It’s a great talent, surely, to be able to communicate (is that the right word?) so freely, approaching a hundred-thousand times — and to do so without any dint of recompense for time or effort, or with very little solicitation. Congratulationsz! Here’s to another 250,000 posts by yourself!

As for us, we shall settle for another modest 2,000 contributions from this here Web log. Thanks for your loyal readership.

Free ones: Rundown…

Aqueduct 2, 6, 7, 8, 9
Gulfstream Park Proper 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13
Santa Anita 5

Pay-side (Weekday/Weekend): Today…

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Race 8 at Portland looks too much in favor of your top two morning-line choices. Regretsz!

Yesterday’s Activity: Good job by Spuds to take it to the Arse in yesterday’s North London Derby. Don’t like Spuds, but credit is due. Good job, Spuds.

WMF Report:

Early
Santa Anita 6f
Portland 6f
Tampa 6f

Rally
Gulfstream 1 1/16m (T)

Nocturnal Submission: Sifting through the wreckage…

Thank you. Best wishes. Goodbye. Bye-bye.

here’s my 23 and 1/2 post…i have lots more to “catch up”(sound like a joke in there…chefs humor). so 2 weeks in a row another 3, 2nd place finishes! its the fav that beats us. losing by a thread(get it ,thread). like that race at SA were the fav just does hang on to beat that FTS or or the race at GP 12 the 1 wins and the 7 just misses. ouch! would have been a contender! next week…..

Sorry. We like this humour, however. Back in the days when the food-fetish chefs on TV were funnie and not so genius-serious and angry all the time, you might have found yourself on TV preparing nice dishes for the viewers. Graham Kerr, Julia Child, Justin Wilson, Jeff Smith and even the much-maligned Emeril Lagasse shared the same kind of good-natured joking that you yourself are providing us. ’gratsz! Next time!
