Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Aqueduct 8, Gulfstream 7, Santa Anita 8 on the free page. On the pay-side it’s Laurel 7, Turfway 6.

Seems contentious in Gulf 4, but #1 Fashion Alert probably is a deserving fave. Later there, the eighth finds #10 Ready for Rye also looking pretty solid. In Race 9, we sidestep the morning-line chalk and prefer #9 Devine Aida, #8 Right On Kitten.

Over at Santa Anita, #2 Callback and #1 Seduire appear the dominant pair in the seventh.

#5 Delaunay has always been a nice horse, and he can come through OK in Fair Grounds 7.

Yesterday’s Activity: Chip Kelly strong-arming everybody to become Tyrant-in-Chief on the Field and in the Situation Room for the Philala Igglesz American Big-League Gridiron Throwball Team. Probably wishes he could have coached in the Collegiate (read: Triple-A) National Championship nine days from now.
