noahanukkah

Light ’em up!

All right, all right, ya meshuggenah dreidel-spinnersz! Take it easy! ’gratsz on making it to your festive time of year. Mazel!

Noah needed for certain here in erstwhile sunny Southern California; it rained with some Old Testament wrath on the first night! Oy gevalta fish. Or something like that.

Free ones: Rundown…

Gulfstream Park Proper 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

Pay-side: Today…

Laurel 1, 4, 5, 7, 9
Tampa 4, 8, 9
Turf Paradise 6, 7, 8

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: None today, but continue to enjoy the volatility in the markets, courtesy of the double-trouble dip in the value of the rubble ruble and the drop in oil prices. Kaboom!

Yesterday’s Activity: Many runner-up finishes for your ‘Tuesday Sniping’, and an additional honourable mention via Runaway Cal in Race 8 at Turf Paradise.

The race was contentious, with the ’Runaway scoring second-best on the conventional V6 Betting Line, at Fair Odds of 4-1, and owning your best LifeLiner Speed Column analysis score, 98. He was 15-1 on your morning line but was sent off at 25-1 in real life.

’Runaway’s complete LifeLiner array of 63-67-98 suggested he would be a king-hell rally-machine in the stretch, and that’s how it turned out; he was last through the opening half-mile and only one position better than that at the 5/16-pole.

He engaged the eventual winner in deep stretch but could not make it past, getting beat by a clear half-length.

The 6-1 winner had a similar late-running LifeLiner array: 62-76-82. The 82 in the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis was good enough to consider, and the ‘consolation’ exacta paid $301.80.

As for the top two public-choices in this race, they were below ’Runaway on the Betting Line and obviously below ’Runaway’s top-rated LifeLiner Speed Column analysis. Comparable-looking horseys, on the cold-dope, anyway, but superior longshot odds to the ’Runaway.

As for the eventual winner, that may have been a lucky save to get a nondescript, on cold dope anyway, nonfavourite on the lead-end of the perfecta.

And sometimes your Hanukkah present gets delivered before sundown. Thank you, Yahweh. Or Hanukkah Harrie. Or Crazy Eddie. Or Sy & Marcy Syms. One of those five, for sure.
