What do you recommend for improved touting, Doc?

Had a feeling all those In-N-Out double-doubles were gumming up the synapses!

Keep up the Vit D absorption, too. Get some sunlight, come to La-La Land!

Free ones: Rundown…

Saratoga Race Course 5
Gulf 5, 6, 9
Del Mar Thoroughbred Club 4

Pay-side: Today…

Arlington 6, 7, 9
BelTerra 1
Louisiana 4, 6, 8
Monmouth 5, 9
Woodbine 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: #1 Master the Blues gets the green light in Del Mar 7.

Tight race in Canterbury 5, and we side with #4 Az Ridge. #5 Flower Spell seems more clearcut in the eighth there.

Likewise #3 Seduire in Santa Rosa 7.

Yesterday’s Activity: Only one good one, but it counted.

That would be Delaware 2, in which top-touted Cheypooter won at $15.20 straight. Cheypooter was third-choice on your V6 Betting Line, Fair Odds of 6-1 in a contentious race and 12-1 on the morning line. Clearly Cheypooter was bet-down.

Also touted in the race was your Second Bonkersmate, name of Mustang Alley.

Mustang Alley, buried toward the bottom of your Betting Line but OK on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis at 81, was 15-1 on the morning line and — hold on to your hat, Harriet — 83-1 on the Stanton toteboard. Yes, 83-1.

Mustang Alley somehow snuck her dirty mug into the exacta, running second at 83-1, beaten 1½ lengths out of the win but good enough to complete your winning $842 (for $2) Bonkers Exacta Box.

Not touted due to a too-low 5-1 morning line, Ghent, a LifeLiner Speed Column analysis qualifier at 80, completed your trizacta at 4½-1, and that gimmick paid $3,450, for $2.

Then in Race 7, sole-touted Awesome Devine paid $9.40 as the fourth-choice in the wagering.

So while there are death and bubonic plague and infectious vermin on the free page, the pay-side manages to hold up its end of the crooked bargain.

As always, hope you had ’em!
