A larrupin’

Man, that was a larrpuin’. Seven times Die Mannschaft was able to ‘balge de ol’ ahnyun bag’ as Tommy Smyth (pronounced like ‘smite’ with a ‘th’ sound at the end) would put it. Brasil only once. Sad times, broken spine, broken club. Brasil out. Samba boysz out.

Doubtless the Brasilenhos will have to root for Nederlandsz now, given the age-old enmity between Brasil and Argentina. And they will root for Alemania if Argentina somehow makes it to the final. Argentina becomes the only villainous team remaining in the tournament. Godspeed!

As well, if the Brasiliansz had a leftist-type preacher like Hugo Chavez or the sulfurous Evo Morales, a left-wing version of Rev. Pat Robertson, he or she would be screaming that Neymar’s paralysis and the larrupin’ yesterday were Christ the Redeemer’s punishment for the country spending all that loot on FIFA and not generally improving the plight-blight of the poor. But that’s just speculation.
