Yup. Summer is here. Some popular-music tunes just sound like the season. This is one of ’em.

Will I set the sun on a big-wheeled wagon?
I’m bragging
I’m always in love.

Free ones: Rundown…

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Calder 8, Santa Anita 7 on the free page.

Elsewhere, #4 Hogy is one of ’em Triple Threat Horseys in AP 9. Now what?

Same goes for #2 War Dancer in CD 10, though that one seems a little more open.

Looks like a cold-puncher’s box in WO 8: #6 Purely Hot, #4 Spring in the Air.

Tiptoeing around your morning-line fave in CT 8 via #6 Pocket Gift, #3 Practical Ideas, #5 Daylight’s Coming.

One of ’em spectacular statebred soirees this evening at the Evangeline, and #1 All Woman has designs on the big upset in the fifth.

Wild-open in the sixth there. Wild-open. #9 Diamond Lucy can be involved. Shooting for the Louisiana moon in the seventh through #11 Sir Genghis, #3 Yankee Gambler, #2 Let Me In. More contentiousness in Race 8, and #2 Ante Up Annie can do it at an all-in price. More tiptoeing around the morning-line fave in Race 10: #7 Skipberry Wine, #2 Benwill, #6 No Rules Now.

Hardly contentious in Race 7 at Northlands: #3 The Spinmeister looks too good.

Tiptoeing around the surviving top two morning-line choices in PrM 6: #8 C’Mon Feet, #2 Canopy Lane, #4 Lead Me Not, #5 American Sugar. Hoo-boy. And continued craziness in the eighth: #6 Bobcat Jim is not out of it.

All right, all right. Exhale. Too much horseys. Sometimes.

Yesterday’s Activity: Two nice prices amidst the carnage.

Race 4 at Belmont went to top-touted Peaceful Talk. He was top of your V6 Betting Line, Fair Odds of 3-1 in a contentious race. He got further backing from the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis, top there at 86. He ran to his complete LifeLiner array of 99-91-86 by going gate-to-wire, finishing 4½ lengths ahead of the runner-up. He paid $20.60 up top, bet well down from his 15-1 morning line. Thanks a lot, Elmont! Thanks a lot!

Over at the Pimlico, top-touted Classe Signora took the last race on the card at $18.20. She was also top of your V6 Betting Line, Fair Odds of 3½-1 in a contentious race. She got further backing from the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis, three-way tied for top there at 82. She ran to her complete LifeLiner array of 68-74-82 by rallying strongly for the desperate win by a dirty neck over the 70-1 runner-up. Classe Signora was 8-1 on your morning line.

And, since this upset took place in the last race of the day, it was, indeed, say it loud, say it proud, a KING OF THE NETCAPPER BULLIESZ SPECIAL! BULLIESZ! SPECIAL!

As always, hope you had ’em!
