For frack’s sake, for that price, you’re not even getting Peb or Joe Hirsch anymore!

Twenty years ago, the publication referred to in the photograph above was four or five bucks for a single copy at the newsstands. Today, it’s nearly twice as expensive — no good, Chollie, no good. Somebody’s making out…Dave Litwack, Hermis, Reigh Count?!

In contrast, the unlimited monthly HDW (Handicappers Data Warehouse) download cost for the Cynthia Publishing Company All-In-One software remains the same, 1994 to 2014…unchanged! Good handicapping = good value. Can you spot the value?

Free ones: Rundown…

Belmont 7
Calder / Gulf Calder 2, Gulf 3, 6, 8
Santa Anita 8

Pay-side: Today…

Louisiana 2, 5, 7, 8, 9
Lone Star 2, 8
Pimlico 5, 7, 10
Tampa 8
Turf Paradise 7

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: All right, all right, ya Churchill Downs loversz! Races 5 through 11, excepting 7, are stakes.

Should be OK for #5 Marriedtothemusic in Bel 3.

Likewise #7 Cool Cowboy at Prairie, in Race 8.

Tiptoeing around the morning-line fave in Tdn 7, preferring #8 Deniro’s Saint and #2 I’m Kiddin instead.

Yesterday’s Activity: Three touted races for your Churchill Downs Thursday, four total horseys touted. One of those four was a winner.

That was Bonkersmate Seal Team Four in — what else? — Race 4.

Seal Team Four was dead-bottom on the conventional V6 Betting Line, no Fair Odds, obviously. However, the race was open-ended and contentious, and Seal Team Four was one of two LifeLiner Speed Column analysis qualifiers in the field; the other qualifier was top-touted Nobel Laureate, last-place finisher in the field — the extreme first-last exacta!

Seal Team Four ran to his complete LifeLiner array of 99-95-84, making the front flight early on and hanging on to win by 3 lengths at $27.80 up top.

As always, Welcome to The Home of The Runner-Up Finish, this time nearly led by top-touted Internet Success.

Internet Success, top choice and Triple Threat Horsey at 15-1 on the morning line, went off at 15½-1 in real life. Internet Success was your leader deep in the stretch but could not hold off the 2-1 winner, a winner who was also the top-rated LifeLiner Speed Column analysis horse in the field.

The gettable saver exacta returned $75.60: 2-1 over 15½-1 in a seven-horse field.

All was not lost at Lone Star (Tejas!), with Second Bonkersmate Risen City, 15-1 on the morning line and 30¢ shy of 22-1 when the bell rang, rallying to victory by 1 length at an uplifting $45.40-straight.

Risen City was, like Seal Team Four at Churchill, absolute, abject dead-bottom of the conventional V6 Betting Line. But also like Seam Team Four, Risen City deemed sufficiently talented by the measure of the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis, scoring an 82 in that regard.

No good for the vertical exotics, though. Just the winner, the $45-and-change winner. Will that suffice?
