Flirting with triple-digit temps today for your San Fernando Valley. Stay hydrated, my friends, stay hydrated.

Free ones: Rundown…

Santa Anita 5, 6

Yea, verily, Belmont opens today, but it’s soggy and off the turf and it’s hard to get ginned when the conditions are like that. Regretsz! Next time!

Pay-side: Today…

Churchill 2, 4, 10
Golden Gate 7
Lone Star 6, 8, 9
Pimlico 7

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Ugh. Four horses and off the turf in Bel 8. #12 Integrity should be OK, but he’ll be odds-on. Up to you.

Yesterday’s Activity: As always, Welcome to The Home of The Runner-Up Finish, this time almost led by Bonkersmate Rosee Is Cozee.

’Rosee was 20-1 on the morning line and 28-1 in real life. She was defeated by 1¼-lengths while finishing ahead of eight others in the 10-horse field. The winner was top of the conventional V6 Betting Line but not quite good enough on the LifeLiner Speed Column analysis. Hoo-boy. A little mixing and matching, the ol’ Chinese Menu strategy of one from Column A (Betting Line but not LifeLiner Speed Column), one from Column B (LifeLiner Speed Column but not Betting Line), and you walk away with a makeable (though not to our taste) $376.60 saver exacta, which fills you up for a while, but then it’s post time for the next race and you’re hungry for another similar score.

WMF Report:

Chas. Town 6½f, 7f
PennNat 6f
Santa Anita 6f

Nocturnal Submission: Sifting through the wreckage…

Thank you. Best wishes. Goodbye. Bye-bye.
