STAN THE MAN WAWRINKA #1 alwayszzz. How can you not root for a guy who looks like he just rolled out of bed? Plus, he resembles a Regular Stan who’d be sitting next to you at the tavern, dragging on a cigarette and throwing back a few Budweisers — no hipster Pabst or IPA for this guy!
As well, it’s always good to bring a little bit of a gut and some sporadic facial hair to the Courts of Lawn Tennis. And finally, he has that famous Samuel Beckett quote tattooed on his arm: Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.
And none of this even mentions his stylish one-handed backhand!

As for Rafa Vamos Nadal, he was showing a little bit of Sissie tendencies last night — a little bit disappointing with some of the Sissie Stuff, not that good for The Mallorcan Bull. Still love him, though. Thank goodness the winner was someone we could tolerate. Maybe David Ferrer will be next to slay the Giantsz of Lawn Tennis. Vamos!
