Yea, verily, the 30th season of America’s Favourite Quiz Programme opens tonight (or this afternoon for some unlucky Central Time Zone viewers).

You know how they have great pop stars singing about “Are you ready for some football”? Maybe they could have an intro for J! whereby Stephen Malkmus or They Might Be Giantsz or even world-famous The Wrecking Crew rocks-out with some brain-warmup prelude to the show itself. The lyrics could contain a few words with three syllables or greater, maybe a mid-song change in time-signature. Perhaps even pentatonics or atonalism would be in order for all the geekheadsz! When somebody’s on the verge of running the category, they might say, “She could go all the…” — well, you know. Rock on, Chaka Khan!
