A piece of work…
Free ones: Rundown…
Saratoga Race Course 3, 7, 8, 9
Calder / Gulf 4, 9
Del Mar Thoroughbred Club 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 11
Sorry, Swampatoga. The last long weekend was a lousy washout. Regretsz!
Pay-side: Today…
Arlington 5, 8, 9
Ellis Park 7, 9
Louisiana 6, 7
Remington 8
Woodbine 6, 9
Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Prior to raceday scratches, Del Mar 5, 6 & 9 were on the free page. And despite the Swamp in Swampatoga, so was Sar 9.
Delpark 7 is a good one, and the nonfavored pairing looks to be #3 Stormin Wendy and #1 Southwest Lady.
Should be OK for #8 Derby Kitten in ElP 8.
Third-choice on the morning line is a vaunted Triple Threat Horsey in GG 4: #4 Tribal TribUTE.
AsD 7 has #1 Golden Stripe with a
decent chance.
FL 8 has a pairing of #3 Bossanova Lady and #1A Lexi On the Cover.
#7 Ouch can have a positive involvement in Hst 6.
In NP 9, #2 Tommy Danzigger is not completely dismissible.
Race 10 at Pha was always going to be an ethnic fire drill, and now the hysteria is compounded by a soggy turf course. Racing! A special Colonial Penn Daytime Triple Stumper via #12 Wicked Tune, #5 El Seventyseven, #8 Stormofthecentury.
Portland now, and Race 5 has #2 Captainnotsosober with a better-than-expected chance for a fourth-choice on the morning line.
Staying in the Rose City for Race 7 and a nonfavored comboa of #6 Inquiry Miss, #8 Our Little Hen. Then in Race 8, #7 Lady Aragorn can participate in the mutuel payoffs somewhere. Likewise #6 Crew Leader in the ninth.
Finally, we all meet our end in N. Mex, so Rui 10 has #1 Ghost Vapors looking forward to Sept. 29 in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
Too much horseys sometimes. Sometimes.
Yesterday’s Activity: Not really taking credit for Sar 8 featuring Scat Away at $13.40 in a sloppy-track race; but, yes, she was touted and bet-down in half from 10-1 on the morning line.
Will take full credit for Bonkersmate Rollbaby in the Gulf 5. Rollbaby was 15-1 on the morning line and 10-1 in real life. Rollbaby was the abject absolute bottom of the Betting Line, too! But the race was contentious, and the only way for Rollbaby to garner some consideration was for her to have a LifeLiner Speed score of 80 or higher. Which she did: 84. Her complete array was 60-60-84.
And did she ever run to that! She was in arrears 20 lengths after the opening half-mile, 14 lengths back after six furlongs and 5 lengths behind with 660 feet remaining! How is this possible! She made up that ground by passing nine horseys in front of her to win by half a length at $22.40.
King of the NetCapper Bulliesz special in the finale at Ellis Park, thanks to Dr. Hayaku, 12-1 on the morning line but bet-down to half that for the $14.80 win.
The NBCSN Upset Alert was like a five-alarm klaxon in Fort Apache, The Bronxxx, in the sixth at Golden Gate Fair. Top-touted I’m So Puzzled was 15-1 on the morning line and a thin dime under 40-1 when the gates sprang open. I’m So Puzzled was not in receipt of Fair Odds on the V6 Betting Line but was second-ranked on LifeLiner at a competitive 83 in the Speed Column. Good enough.
I’m So Puzzled ran down the tearaway frontrunner in the shadow of the wire to score at $81.80. That’s I’m So Puzzled, your NBCSN Upset Alert Upset Alert of the Day. That’s the NBCSN Upset Alert Upset Alert of the Day. This is only a test.

Thank you. Best wishes. Goodbye. Take care now.
