Yes, Now You Can Handicap in Bed…

All right, all right, ya 21st-Century technogeexsz! Unlike us, you probably are getting new computers a bit more regularly than every 25 years or so. If you get the one in the picture, you can touch and tap your way to All-In-One V6 glory. How is this possible!

After years of pleading and bleeding, of screeching and beseeching, we finally found somebody out in the wild deploying All-In-One V6 via the Windozen 8 boxen known as the Surfacen. Better yet, it works like any other 2013-era tablet computer, meaning that you don’t need a mouse or a keyboard to get the stuff rolling. You hit the screen with your favourite finger (in this case, prolly the index one, the one closest to the thumb) and you’re on your way.

We gladly will send you the contact deets via email. You can send queries to info[at]cynthiapublishing[dot]com and subject-head the email “SURFACEN”. We will put you in touch with the Happy Valley (Penna., not Hong Kong) Captain who knows all about the process of new hardware techologies. That would be him, not us.

As James Morrison sang on his band The Doors’s cover of “Roadhouse Blues”, “Do it, Robbie, do it!” Do it now. Save our city right now! Java lives. All-In-One V6 persists like a stubborn chronic condition. We doubt we shall be going anywhere. Stasis and inertia. We are too small to fail.

Free ones: Rundown…

Saratoga Race Course 3, 7
Del Mar Thoroughbred Club 4, 6, 7, 8

Pay-side: Today…

Arlington 3, 4, 6, 9
Delpark 3, 5, 6, 7
Golden Gate 2, 5, 6
Louisiana 4, 6, 7
Remington 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9

Apologies to Remington Park Races 6 & 8. Perhaps you can get mentioned tomorrow or the night after that. Regretsz!

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: We got the one good stakes race (read: nonhurdle) correct on the free page: Vitoria Olimpica, 4½-1 to win.

Yesterday’s Activity: Remington Park in Oklahoma City, Okla., is open again, and it truly is the Woodbine of the United States: full fields, good turf racing, contentious races from top to bottom. If you like Breeders’s Cup-type cards in the middle of the week, in a month other than November, Woodbine and Remington are going to be top tracks for you to get involved with. Check it.

Last night at Remington, Races 5 & 6 were good for the longshot touters. The latter was inclusive of a multi-horsey Bonkers Box forecast that actually came true, a $200 exacta payoff.

Remington Park. “Do it, Robbie, do it.” Do it now.

Nocturnal Submission: Opener at Evangeline (6:40 p.m. EDT / 3:40 p.m. PDT) has #9 One and Only Woman in with a decent probability of winning. …Then in the third there (7:34 / 4:34), you get your nightly Triple Stumper, courtesy of #1 Bayou Boy, #12 Buster Brahms, #3 Gold Nation. …Compounding the potential frustration is Race 6 (8:55 / 5:55), and yet another Triple Stumper! How long, o lord, how long?! This time #2 Wanna Be Famous, #1 Sumkindahousburner, #3 Just Stalling. …

Thank you. Best wishes. Goodbye. Drive safely.
