Pears, raspberries, blueberries in syrup; whipped cream; alternating layers of custard and lady fingers; puff pastry on the bottom. Gastrointestinal fireworks! Always trust the baking to the Central & Eastern Europeans! God Bless Budapest!

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Hahahahaha. Gallows humour at BFHollyPark via the seventh, the knowingly named Lucie Manet. Just waiting for the guillotine in Inglewood! Sacre bleu! It was the worst of times! But not for #4 Midnight Music (in the proverbial 11th hour!), a standout here.
PrM 8 is the Ioway Stallion Futurity. Ioway. #7 Holy Missile can hit his intended target. What else were you expecting?
Yesterday’s Activity: BFHollyPark. The final July 4 card in its history. How could it have come to this? Is it possible that a track like, say, Mount Pleasant Meadows outlive the venerable BFHollyPark?
Bonkersmate Privilaged took the fifth at an unimpeachable 10-1. This was something of a bonus as the morning line had him pegged at 8-1. Top touted selection Kuro could manage only third. That ever happen to you, the dreaded one-three “skip exacta”? Worse still, these two were separated by just half a length at the wire. The interloper did not figure! Thanks, interloper! Thanks a lot!
In the finale, Exponentially was touted at 8-1 on the morning line. The actual odds on him ballooned to 14-1 at the off. He had open lengths on the field in the stretch, and then in the final furlong he ran like the trial horse he’s well on the way to becoming. The winner was a firster, top of V6, connection-lines all good, and the saver exacta was $78.

Nocturnal Submission: Allah bless Marquis Downs! Race 5 there (10:45 p.m. EDT / 7:45 p.m. PDT) has a live 7-1 morning line (7-1! no fear of odd whole numbers!): #7 Zee Throne. …After all, take a gander at the seventh (11:35 / 8:35), in which #5 Spectacular Slew has a shot at 9-1 (9-1! where do you come up with 9-1 on the morning line! OCD handicappers are screaming in anguish! 7-1 on the morning line! 9-1 on the morning line! OCD handicappers are shrieking in bewilderment!) Oddsmaker at Marquis Downs, we salute you in your top efforts to make these OCD handicappers squirm with utter powerlessness! Thank you! …Nice one at the Mountain in Race 6 (9:05 / 6:05): #2 Fast Fashion. …
Thank you. Best wishes. Goodbye. Next time!

The fruit & whipped cream!!!! Enuff for me. My buddie & yours Mitch { the one that assisted in helping you get computer & me under control} is invading San Diego Sunday, for a presentation of his GPS & work spying program. He has {just is} to take wife along. I know ALL info about anything can be found here. and would like to give him pointers of what to do in spare time. He’s a good guy, knows nuthin about horses, just Auburn Football. Any help from Golden Bears or Aztecs or Chargers appreciated!!!
He has GPS, he should be able to figure it out!
Legoland if he has kids.
Gaslight Alley is good for the tourists.
If he has had his gamma-globulin shots, Tijuana! ¡Sí, señor! Did you know that Tijuana is the Shenzhen of North America? You could look it up!
Too bad Del Mar Thoroughbred Club is not in season (only 11 days away…bad timing!). He could go to the Brig, sit at the bar and wait for Burt Bacharach to walk in in a white linen suit. Burt could sing Do You Know The Way To San Jose? and your buddie Mitch could show him his top-secret GPS stuff. Too bad!
Best wishes! Safe trip!
