As always, Joshua M. Brown has the proper perspective…

http://www.thereformedbroker.com/2013/06/15/explaining-explaining-explaining/

TV punditsz, racing scholars, even independently verified (!) authorities: just words, just facetime, just ad-space, just ego.

Free ones: Rundown…

Belmont 4, 8
Calder 2
BFHollyPark 5, 7, 8

Pay-side: Today…

Arlington 2, 7, 9
Churchill 4, 5, 9
Lone Star 4, 7, 10
Louisiana 6, 8
Monmouth 6, 8, 10
Woodbine 2, 4, 7, 10

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Bel 8 (Grade III Hill Prince), Hol 8 (Proctor) both on the free page.

Pay-side contains AP 2 & 7; CD 9; Mth 10; WO 7.

#5 Royal Delta has all the bona fides in CD 6, the Grade II Fleur de Lis. Next race there, the Grade III Matt Winn, it’s a Default Perfecta Box (compare with Bonkers Box) situation between #3 Uncaptured, #6 Treasury Bill.

However, a true Bonkers Box scenario does appear in Del 8, the Go For Wand: #4 Missy Rules, #9 What You Know.

Two-year-old stakes race already at Golden Gate, in its third race, the Lost in the Fog: #1 Olympic Jumble attains vaunted Triple Threat Horsey status. Same two-year-old vibe in Hol 4, the Cinderella for similarly credentialed #2 On the Backstreets.

Another Default Exactor Box situation emerges in WO 5, the Zadracarta: #1 Northern Passion, #2 Part the Seas.

Prohibitive in AsD 6, the Hazel Wright: #4 A Girl’s Gotta Do.

Yesterday’s Activity: All right, all right, ya “Chelsea Dagger” fansz! Arlington Hts., Ill., came through big-time on Friday. No winners elsewhere, but over at the AP in Race 8, sole tout Mec Dancer, 8-1 on the morning line and 9-1 on the tote board, rallied like the Blackhawxx vs. the Bruinsz — Mec Dancer had a LifeLiner scoreline of 67-75-84 as the top LifeLiner in the race — and the winning mutuel was $21.60.

Four races earlier, another sole tout, Royal Seven, 15-1 on the morning line and ignored to the count of 37-1, also rallied (LifeLiner scoreline of 68-65-91 as the top number in the field) for a crazy-daisy straight-up win mutuel of $76.60. Triple overtime! Amazingly, Royal Seven had the only qualifiying LifeLiner number in the field. Deflection! Andrew Shaw! (N.B. Amazing connection line on Royal Seven: 1 percent trainer/2 percent jockey/0 percent combo from 49 tries. Yooksz.)

Maggie Mahar is RIGHT!!! You need info, not knowledge. Exactly why I get a better ROI at tracks where THE BEEMAN pays more attention to info than knowledge, and man oh man do I get it here!!! Then again, Knowledge Is POWER, & to that extent I am totally confused??? Who else’s wife takes the Sports page to Church?
