jacaranda

A Sure Sign of Memorial Day Weekend in La-La Land…

Behold the unmistakable jacaranda. It’s in bloom, and that can mean only one thing: we’re approaching the unofficial start of summer. Beautiful. Man cannot improve upon Mother Nature’s handiwork. We should not even try.

Good article about this whole phenomenon:

Only the best races, right?

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: Mth 11 & WO 8 on the pay-side.

Hello, Denver! How’s the air up there? Remember to drink plenty of water! Anyway, Race 8 today at the ArP is the Inaugural, and it’s a mad scramble. Mad as in bonkers, not as in angry, OK? #11 Silk Indian is as likely
as any of the others. Wild.

Goodnight, Seattle! Here’s your city’s eponymous Handicap, Race 8, and #3 Stopshoppingdebbie has the goods.

What’s going on, New Mexico?! The 10th at Ruidoso is the First Lady, and #4 Painted Woman (Nancy Reagan?) gets the straight-up call. Consult your astrologer first.

Yesterday’s Activity: Ugh. Picking the proper races for scores (as evidenced by the prices paid out in those races) but our touted horseys are just not quick enough right now. That ever happen to yourself? We continue.
