Good afternoon now!

Free ones: Rundown…

Aqueduct 3, 5, 6
Sunland 9, 10
Santa Anita 4, 9

Pay-side:

Keeneland 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12
Tampa 1, 3, 9, 10, 11
Hawthorne 8, 9
Oaklawn 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12
Lone Star 2, 5, 7, 8, 9
Turf Paradise 8

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: SA 4 is the Runway down the hill in Arcadia, always the kind of race filled with pills, thrills and bellyaches. It’s on the free page.

On the pay-side today are Kee 7, 8, 10; LS 9; OP 7, 8; in other words, plenty of opportunities for despair and perdition. Eat ’em up!

Others to consider: Down to four horses in Aqu 8, the Grade II Distaff, and chalk #4 Cluster of Stars is a prohibitive choice, however that means. …Also looking powerful is #3 Justin Phillip in OP 9, the Grade III Count Fleet. …Cheer up, because the race after that one is the eponymous Grade I Derby there in Hot Springs, so step out of the mineral baths, wrap yourself in a towel and take great comfort in defeating the first two morning-line choices; personally, we take a stab with #9 Overanalyze to paralyze; speaking of paralysis, Coy’s Steakhouse #1 alwayszzzz, better than Mastro’s, at least until Mastro’s opens up its Arkansas location. …Ugh. When’s the last time you saw a downhill sprint race at Santa Anita contain just five horses? Teddible, teddible, Steadman! It’s obviously #6 Mizdirection in that one, the Grade III Las Cienegas, Race 8 on the card. …

Yesterday’s Activity: One good one, but it was one of those leave-it-late specials. Lone Star 9, Commencing, 15-1 on the morning line and 17-1 when the bell rang, a vaunted Triple Threat Horsey, no less! Yet the race was contentious on the face of it. So many paradoxes! How to handle it? Hahahaha. The runner-up was odds-on at 7-10 but neither LifeLiner nor the Betting Line had that sort of respect for him.

Also correct about the stand against Grace Hall in the Oaklawn feature, though she had an eventful Friday, just like Tiger Woods & Koobay Brian.
