Cliff Lee, can he also take Hamels and Halladay’s places in the starting rotation? Well, at least one of the other disappointing H’s (the big butter-and-egg man, the proclaimed Big Piece Mistah Ryno Howard) finally hit a homerun in a regular-season game. Break up the Philsz!

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: The Grade III Fantasy goes as the feature today at Hot Springs. No touting on it this time. Regretsz!

Yesterday’s Activity: King of The NetCapper Bullies Bonkermates in the finales at Chas. Town & Sunland. Both races contentious in terms of the V6 Betting Line composition. From there, a glance at the LifeLiner for two strong contenders in the Chas. Town race, Bonkersmate Seattle Dynasty, 8-1 on the morning line, and top selection Graceful Gale, also 8-1 there. That’s the way it runs, and ’Dynasty pays $15-and-change and the perfecta is $75-and-change. At the Sunland, the V6 Betting Line was contentious among the experienceds, and Bonkersmate Close Parentheses qualified on LifeLiner from a 15-1 morning line and 20-1 morning-line chance Wicked Whiskey was the top selection. Not good for Whiskey, but ’Parentheses got the Whiskey (phonetic alphabet: the ‘Q’), and paid $22 to win. So now you know.
