Good morning!

Free ones: Rundown…

Gulf 4, 9

Pay-side: Today…

Fair Grounds 2, 3, 7, 9
Hawthorne 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

Today’s Stakes Pageantry: How ’bout that Real Madrid F.C. last night! They are having a struttin’ promenade of a week so far, those proud Madrileños! Barça on Saturday, Man U on Wednesday. Their season is in shambles domestically, but they are still proving their worth on the continental stage. We don’t like fascists any more than you do, but this Real Madrid F.C. are too hot to handle right now. Sometimes you just have to come out of the bunker with your Kalashnikov held high above your head and surrender, like in that Spanish Civil War. Man, those boysz in the Conclave in Rome missed a good game! Habemus Ronaldo, that’s who they need to be electing, although the mitre would certainly get in the way of him showing off that perfectly coiffed hair. He’ll have to make a deal with God. CR7 will set the Holy See straight, so to speak.

Yesterday’s Activity: Not much for the Snipers, but one of the nine touted on the pay-side connected. That was in the 10th at Sunland, courtesy of the Bonkersmate Free From My Ex, 20-1 on the morning line and producer of a $29.60 win mutuel. From the chart, the running of the race looked like a real ding-donger between the longshot hero and another longshot, neither horsey able to get out of the other’s shadow all the around the 1m70y distance. Oh, doctor, we got a good one! The runner-up, 9-1 Tizzam, was a fellow LifeLiner qualifier in the contentious race, and the perfector came back $296 (for $2). Kumite, 13-1 show-horse and the top selection on the pay-side, also met the recommended LifeLiner requirements, yielding a 1,069-1 trizactor. Of course, the horse running fourth for your 12,000-1 super-duper was the 4-1 second-choice on your morning-line but ignored in the wagering to the count of 13-1. Of course, that horse had no LifeLine qualifications. Toss. Thanks a lot! We’ll remember that!

WMF Report:

Early
Hawthorne 6f

Nocturnal Submission: A couple at Delta now. First is Race 2 (7:11 p.m. EST / 4:11 p.m. PST), and a troika of long-priced possibilities rumbles out of the Bayou: #2 Sheriff’s Big Gun, #1 Salty’s Town, #8 My Cherokee Man. …Later it’s the finale (10:46 / 7:46) for the Bonkers-type scenario combining #5, Who Dat Max, #3 Burning Valor. …They’ll be brave to run at PennNat tonight, but if the snowplows are working and enough Prestone is sloshed onto the track, how about #10 Crimson Chrome in Race 2 (6:27 / 3:27)? …

Thank you. Best wishes. Goodbye. So long.
