Five years’ running now, they’ve paid their podcast dues twice a week. And tonight they finally make the major leagues. Yea, verily, the Stuff You Should Know boysz are going on television. ’gratsz!
They are funny, sometimes wickedly so, but not in the snarky E!/Bravo way that is taking over the airwaves. They are good-humored and, best of all, sincere, very rarely ironical. They entertain, but not really at anybody else’s expense. Josh listens to lounge and elevator music without any sort of hipster affect, and Chas. goes for the Pavement/Silver Jews lo-fi sound. That solidifies their bona fides right there.
And unlike some of their other podcasting colleagues from the How Stuff Works suite, they are neither insufferable nor solipsistic. (For example, Strickland is forever name-dropping and bragging to the point of overt insecurity; Douglas’s voice is smugly know-it-all, even though she has much trouble pronouncing the correct vowel sounds; she must have been home-schooled.) Nope, Josh and Chuck are the top duo over there. A close second is the Car Stuff podcast.
So, where do you consume all this stuff? Science Channel this evening for the premiere of Stuff You Should Know the television show, 10 p.m. Eastern & Pacific.

Four stakes at Sammie Houston, none on the pay-side! However, OP 8 and Sun 10 and TP 9 are available there.

Laurel 8 is the F. Whiteley Jr., and #5 Ore Pass has all the goods.
Yesterday’s Activity: Ah, much more like it, spitting blanks all the LIVESTRONG day. (Lord! Remember all those yellowy bracelets?) Embarrassments and apologies at Aqueduct, Santa Anita, Tampa, Turf Paradise, Turfway, Oaklawn, Golden Gate and Sam Houston. Boo! Boo! Total perdition! Refund!
A lone connection came in Race 9 at the Gulf. There was Lily Hannah atop the V6 Betting Line and third with an 87 in the LifeLiner Speed Column Analysis. Sorry, Wesley Hoaglund, but this was a pretty big no-brainer. Even more so with morning-line and actual fave Memories Made, 3½-1 on both, not even hitting the board; ’Memories was sixth on the Betting Line, in receipt of no fair odds. However, LifeLiner did put her on top at 99. Luckily, at that short a price, we did not have to pay attention.

Josh reminded me of your “buddie” Rich {Peerless Sink Faucet} Perloff, one who bad mouths me. As I’ve entered the Mysterious World of the “MITCHELL MATRIX” using these PARS & PROFILES !!!!!!!!! He didn’t have time to look thru an ENCYCLOPEDIA of numbers, that the BEYER Speed numbers were enough for him. I now understand ” 1/2 WIT Commentary. Said he tried Cynthias Pars & couldn’t spare the Time. O’Boy O’Boy. THE STUFF I DIDN’T KNOW
I hope you have good legal representation for the both of us. People are so sensitive these days. Libel & slander are to the 21st century what assault & battery were to the 20th!
ALE81 4evah! LOADED WITH CAFFEINE. That’s the secret sauce, so-called.
